Decorative endpapers have been reinforced by book tape at hinges. "Merritt Collection" in pencil on front free endpaper. Previous owner's name on title page in pencil "J.P. Merritt" (author and archivist, Jedediah Prendergast Merritt). A newspaper clipping of a letter to the editor from Mr. Merritt, and a short handwritten note with an anecdote about Brant are laid in.
